"Happy Birthday Dear Children..."

This past weekend, we celebrated both Eli's and Ainsley's birthdays. Saturday was supposed to be a big family party, but since most were unable to make it, we enjoyed a quiet dinner with the grandparents at the house. After eating a gourmet meal of hotdogs and pasta salad (Eli's menu choice), we had DQ ice cream cake and opened presents.

Sunday, on the other hand, was anything but quiet. We invited friends over, so our house was filled with six very energetic kids ranging from ages 1-9. The theme of Sunday's party was "art", so we were all about making a mess and creating paint monsters. Some kids decided to simply paint or color with crayons instead, and that was just fine by me. I was just simply so excited that everything looked great, the kids had fun, and we had a chance to celebrate together.

Here are some pictures that show all the fun we had!
