Well, it turned out that no one was really too sick to travel, so on Saturday morning, Grandma and Grandpa Stanek, Eli and I traveled to Rockford, Illinois to visit family members. Eli handled the long car ride very well--probably better than the adults did. The long drive was worth it, though, to see Judy and her family. We spent the weekend visiting, playing kickball and dice, and reminiscing about the good times at Ray's Resort. Todd pulled out some old photos from the lake which made us howl with laughter. Perhaps the best part of memory lane, though, was watching the home movie of Todd, Brad, Brian, and Denny putting on their lake "show" as Elvis and bikini-top-wearing housewives. Thank you to everyone for all of the meals and fun while visiting! We love you!
We're back home now, and I'm going to enjoy my
last week home with Eli before I go back to work on May 14th, a week from tomorrow.
